How eclectic can you be? When experimenting you resist…

How receptive can you be? When the fog hits the mist…

I jumped up with joy; I got what I wanted…

Fate’s unusual ploy, my destiny taunted…

I wanted to escape, without the usual route…

With too much at stake, I jumped the loop…

The void inside me cursed, I couldn’t contain…

All was what I rehearsed, but joy couldn’t sustain…

The farther I went, the longer it seemed to take…

My father was bent, and I was pulling him to break…

My conscience battled hard, and my spirits it did lift…

A son finally did his part; His father – a precious gift!

The poem is based entirely on a Heartfelt photo movie which aptly describes the dilemma of a son who gets a great job offer outside his country and is enthralled but cannot leave his ill father on his own.
